Student Card/Library Card
Your UBC card is also your library card. Cards are issued (if you have not already received one in the mail) at the UBC Carding Office in the UBC Bookstore, 6200 University Blvd., during bookstore hours, weekdays 9:30am to 5:30pm and Sat. 11:00am to 5:00pm. You must be registered to get your library card (register in the thesis course), and need to show picture ID.

The U-Pass Program is designed as an integrated comprehensive transportation package that provides students with universal, accessible, and affordable access to public transit and other sustainable transportation programs. It is a mandatory program for all members of the Alma Mater Society (AMS) and costs $36.75/month. This program was initially approved via student referendum in February 2003 and re-approved in February 2005.

To obtain keys, fill out a Key Request Form (available from the Botany Office) in consultation with your supervisor. Once the official form has been signed by your supervisor, return it to the office. We will request the keys on-line. You will receive an email from the Key Desk telling you when to collect your keys. Parking and Access Control Services is located in the UBC Bookstore, 6200 Univ. Blvd. There is a $20 key deposit required and you will need to show picture ID. The deposit will be refunded when the key is returned to Parking and Access Control Services.

Student mailboxes are outside the Botany Office during the day. At night they are locked inside the photocopier room.
